Tender Description
This contract is for the design of safety improvements on a section of Collins Cap Road located approximately 4.8km south of the Molesworth Road intersection and commencing circa 30m south east of the Collins Cap Road quarry entrance in Collinsvale.
Consultant to propose:
- Road width along the extent of the existing road taking into account cut and fill batter
requirements
- Pavement rectification works, if required
- Design of retaining structure on existing cut batter
- Design and location of guard rail system
- Design of 'pull-over bay' of circa 40 metres in length. Consultant to consider preferred location and actual width requirements
- Drainage rectification works and new stormwater management taking into account new retaining structures, guard railing and new 'pull-over' bay
A key part of the decision making will be the Derwent Valley Council's understanding of Contractor competency and experience in delivering the services, and Contractor's ability to deliver cost effectively and provide measurable value propositions for quality and safety outcomes.
