Managed Services Provider

⁠⁠⁠VICSES is seeking proposals from suitably qualified organisations to appoint a Managed Services Provider (MSP) to manage its core network infrastructure as well as a range of supporting services including network administration & architecture, information management, security administration, maintenance, business continuity, change management and documentation maintenance.

Services will also be extended to support the management of VICSES’ P.C. fleet – approximately 650 located across Victoria within 13 offices, 149 units, other agency locations and 7 mobile command vehicles. This support extends to the Windows operating environment and nominated applications. It does not include the support of the P.C. hardware.

VICSES intends to establish and develop a strong service and strategic partnership with the successful supplier for 5 years to support the direction of technology, communications and information to enable the successful delivery of the corporate strategy.

The successful supplier will have demonstrated they conduct their business in line with the same values as those of VICSES and will provide:

• A service partnership with the VICSES’s information and technology resources and its other suppliers ensuring minimum business disruption.
• Pro-active management of information and technology costs associated with the suppliers own services as well as identifying other areas of savings or business efficiency gains.
• Strategic know-how to support the Chief Information Officer and the VICSES’s executive in the successful delivery of the information and technology strategy, providing expertise for developing programs and road maps for 3 year (rolling) business planning and budgeting.

VICSES is seeking a mature government supplier that will meet at least (full list will be included in the tender documents) following mandatory requirements:

• Is currently a Victorian Government approved supplier on the e-services register
• Has never been disqualified or suspended from the e-services register.
• Has the required resources to provide on-site services in Melbourne.
• Has a minimum of 10 years’ experience providing Managed Services equal to what is required for this contract, for Victoria Government agencies.
• Has a minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing Microsoft Azure Cloud environments
• Is an organisation who can demonstrate Managed Services is core business and that it intends to continue to develop that ‘arm’ for a minimum of 6 more years.
• Will need to provide their highest level of certification and/or what their partner arrangements are with other key suppliers within telecommunications, security solution providers as well as server and client application products within the Microsoft product range
• Has an operational service desk which can be enabled to support VICSES

This tender is bound by the Victorian Governement requirements for Local Jobs First and Social Procurement.
