Tender Description
Eurobodalla Shire Council invites tenders to prepare a Coastal Management Program for the open coast and adjoining Coastal Management Areas. Eurobodalla is on the south coast of New South Wales, approximately 300km south of Sydney.
The local government area has approximately 144km of shoreline with over 100 beaches, around 84 of which are within Council's management area. The remaining coast is within the Murramarang and Eurobodalla National Parks.
Batemans Bay is the major urban centre for Eurobodalla Shire and is the current focus of major infrastructure projects with the construction of a new bridge, channel dredging and associated foreshore works. An inter-Agency Batemans Bay Coastal Erosion Taskforce has been established to guide this project and assist to integrate the outputs of technical and environmental assessments associated with the bridge construction and dredging projects.
Council, with the assistance of the Taskforce, proposes to prepare a comprehensive Coastal Management Program for Eurobodalla's Coastline in accordance with the NSW Government's Coastal Management Manual 2018.
Respondents to this request for tenders are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the NSW Coastal Management Manual 2018 inclusive of the Coastal Management Act 2016, associated planning legislation and environmental planning policies in NSW.
