Specific consideration should be given/demonstrated in regard to approaches which will ensure that community values and aspirations shape the identification of coastal assets and the development of management options.
The QCoast2100 Program is currently due for completion in April 2021 (all projects to be completed and acquitted by this date). Consideration should be given to what can be completed within that time frame, however, information should be provided for all phases.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, specific elements (and costings) should be provided for the following two broad models:
Option One: Continuation of travel restrictions and social distancing for the duration of the project.
Specific elements (demonstrated techniques and approaches to completion of the project, including: project management; interface with the council; and effective community engagement etc) based on a scenario where no physical visits to the local area by consultants are possible and social distancing restrictions apply to any engagement exercise.
Option Two: A gradual shift towards a relaxation of the COVID-19 restrictions on travel and social distancing over the duration of the project.
Specific elements (demonstrated techniques and approaches to completion of the project, including: project management; interface with the council; and effective community engagement etc) based on a scenario where there is a gradual transition towards both visits to the area by consultants and the use of community workshops etc.
A narrative should be provided to accompany this which demonstrates a flexible approach to measures used and costings as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
