⁠⁠⁠Hobsons Bay City Council (Council) invites tenders for New Theatre/Staging Mechanical Systems - Altona Theatre & Williamstown Town Hall (The Project).

 
The project involves works at two separate sites, Altona Theatre and Williamstown Town Hall Function Room. Each site shall be a Separable Portion. This include the design and construction as summarized below.
 
Separable Portion A – Altona Theatre Works– High Level Summary
 
  • Provide safer a more efficient staging systems environment for the setting up and operational performance of theatre productions at this venue.
  • Safer set up focusing and hoisting of production specific stage lighting arrays.
  • Professional engineering certification and ongoing safety testing of the new system.
  • Greater flexibility safety and speed of operational set ups for future theatre productions.
  • The electrification of the hoisting system will enable theatre technical and stage staff to easily and safely operate the system.
Separable Portion B – Williamstown Town Hall, Function Room Works – High Level Summary
 
  • Provide safer and more efficient staging systems environment for the setting up and operational performance of theatre productions at this venue.
  • Safer set up focusing and hoisting of production specific stage lighting arrays.
  • Professional engineering certification and ongoing safety testing of the new electrical system.
  • Greater flexibility safety and speed of operational set ups for future theatre productions.
  • The upgrade to the electrification of the hoisting system will enable technical stage staff to easily and safely operate the system.
  • The motorized chandelier hoisting system will greatly assist in the maintenance re-lamping and cleaning of the main hall lamps
