Gas Isolation Valve (GAS) Program 2020-21
Ensuring safe gas supply to classrooms is a key obligation and maintenance requirement
for Victorian schools. The risks associated with gas leaks in schools are predominantly in
relation to gas leakage when supply is not turned off or due to leaky or open appliances
when not in use. Accordingly, government has agreed that any classroom with these types
of gas supplies should have an automatic shut-off valve system to be installed.
