Tender Description
The Senior React Developer reports to the Section Head Development Operations and will be one of the lead developers in a small team responsible for delivering user interface solutions and strategic initiatives. The team is responsible for development and maintenance of CASAs application suite.
The team will also work collaboratively with other Information Technology units supporting various elements of the ICT environment including Release Management, Service Desk and Governance, Development and Operations, and Midrange and Operations. This position is based in Canberra and may require interstate travel.
The specified personnel are responsible for the following deliverables:
a) providing senior development expertise for the development and maintenance and security uplift for CASAs application suite.
b) developing technical documentation and architecture artefacts throughout the application development lifecycle.
c) providing mentoring and guidance to other developers and applications support team.
d) collaborating with other CASA business units including non-technical subject matter experts to ensure project and BAU deliverables are met in accordance with milestones.
e) contributing to and providing high level strategic user interface advice to Information Services Branch leadership team to support ICT Strategy.
f) contributing and providing continuous improvement and identifying, evaluating and managing risk in the delivery of project outcomes.
g) promoting workplace safety, equity and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace and acting in accordance with CASA values and behaviors.
Mandatory
a) Strong commercial experience (minimum 2 years) in REACT (including redux).
b) Experience developing REACT applications to be deployed on Microsoft Azure (serverless) App Services
c) formal qualification in IT, computer science or related discipline or 5+ years’ equivalent demonstrated experience
d) demonstrated experience in developing composite application with contemporary integration products using the Microsoft products stack, including, but not limited to:
Microsoft .NET Framework
e) demonstrated experience in liaison and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders with good communication skills in written and verbal context
f) demonstrated experience in working in multidisciplinary teams in a complex ICT environment
g) significant knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs
Desirable experience
a) Good understanding of CI CD pipeline technologies including experience in building and deploying applications via VSTS (Azure Dev Ops)
b) experience in working in Agile environments
c) An appreciation for software development methodologies/principles such as SOLID
d) industry certification or current study towards certification in a relevant ICT field
Location
Based in Aviation House, Phillip, ACT the Resource must work (on average) 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the core hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
