The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P), a branch of the Department of Environment and Science (DES), is calling for Offers to supply contract cleaning services for three show caves where guided tours are undertaken within the Chillagoe-Mungana National Park. The purpose of this Offer is to ensure the show caves clean, hygienic and meet the requirements to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission under an approved Covid safe plan.

The three Show Caves are located less than 5km South West of the Chillagoe Township and consist of the Royal Arch, Donna and Trezkin caves. This area receives high visitation during April to November, and school holidays, and the caves are open for tours every day except Christmas Day.

This Contract will be for an initial period of 3 months from the commencement date, with options to extend for a further three to twelve-month period based on contractor performance/review, as well as QPWS&P’s ongoing requirements. Contractor should also consider the possibility of the contract extending to a service covering 3 days per week, and provide a rate for one-off cleans for each cave as required, including weekend cleans.
