Software Procurement Role

⁠⁠⁠The contracted role will be part of a small team purchasing and administering software that is used by the Australian Signals Directorate.

The role involves assisting customers through the software procurement process from the refining of their requirement all the way through to the allocation of software licence keys once the software is procured.

The procurement process has been developed over the past five years and is now a mature process supported by a workflow tool that tracks the different stages of the procurement process and incudes an integrated Definitive Software Library to record all software purchased. The system incorporates an extensive knowledge base and in many cases there will be a previous procurement record for that software acquisition that can be referred to.

This role does not require a specialist software procurement applicant and applicants with general procurement knowledge will be able to apply that knowledge to the software acquisition process given the established context and supporting systems.

Please note that the software is primarily purchased for use on a classified computer network and accordingly requires applicants to hold a current TOP SECRET positive vetted security clearance.
