Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors to provide specialist cemetery management services, including grounds maintenance at Aramoho Cemetery, cremation and burial services, associated chapel services and all required data and document management. The Contractor shall unless otherwise specified, provide a complete maintenance service for all elements included in this contract.

The scope of work includes but is not restricted to;

  • Amenity turf maintenance, pathway and hard surfaces maintenance.
  • Weed control, reactive maintenance works, horticultural management of extensive rose gardens and perennial beds.
  • Customer enquiry management.
  • Burial and cremation services, dis-internments, associated chapel duties.
  • Accurate record-keeping and general contract management.
  • Contract Management includes quality management; site safety management and traffic management; presentation of reports and claims within set timeframes; regular site meeting/inspections; with the provision of supervision for contract works, providing all labour, plant, and all relevant materials to effect prompt and efficient management of the services.
  • All work under this contract shall be performed in strict adherence with all Acts and Regulations, relevant standards, Codes of Practise, Bylaws and Whanganui District Council Policies pertaining thereto.
