Tender Description

In June 2020, the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan MLC Minister for Ports publicly announced the finalisation of the design and construction schedule set for the $121.5 million Spoilbank Marina project in Port Hedland which coincides with the launch of a Pilbara business register to allow local businesses to register their interest in working on the project.

The features of the Spoilbank Marina Project will include:

A four-lane boat ramp
21 boat-pen marina with capacity to expand to 80 pens in the future;
Separate entrance channel to the main shipping channel
Trailer parking for up to 200 vehicles
Publicly accessible breakwaters with pedestrian path
Public recreation and event space and public amenities
Public fishing jetty, water feature, and shade structures
Waterfront promenade
Public art and a cultural gathering space.

Pilbara Ports Authority will publicly tender three key packages of work via Tenders WA as follows:

Dredging, reclamation, revetment and breakwaters
Marine structures (boat ramps, marina pens, public jetty, and navigation aids)
Landside civil works, landscaping and public amenities

Interested parties must register on Tenders WA to receive notification once the packages of works are released.
