Tender Description
In June 2020, the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan MLC Minister for Ports publicly announced the finalisation of the design and construction schedule set for the $121.5 million Spoilbank Marina project in Port Hedland which coincides with the launch of a Pilbara business register to allow local businesses to register their interest in working on the project.
The features of the Spoilbank Marina Project will include:
- A four-lane boat ramp
- 21 boat-pen marina with capacity to expand to 80 pens in the future;
- Separate entrance channel to the main shipping channel
- Trailer parking for up to 200 vehicles
- Publicly accessible breakwaters with pedestrian path
- Public recreation and event space and public amenities
- Public fishing jetty, water feature, and shade structures
- Waterfront promenade
- Public art and a cultural gathering space.
Pilbara Ports Authority will publicly tender three key packages of work via Tenders WA as follows:
- Dredging, reclamation, revetment and breakwaters
- Marine structures (boat ramps, marina pens, public jetty, and navigation aids)
- Landside civil works, landscaping and public amenities
Interested parties must register on Tenders WA to receive notification once the packages of works are released.
