Western Water is seeking a Principal Contractor to undertake the design and construction of works to repurpose Maturation Lagoon 1 (MAT1) at the Gisborne Recycled Water Plant (RWP) to a wet-weather storage lagoon with a capacity of approximately 9 ML. The RWP is located at Haywood Drive, Gisborne. The scope of works shall include relining MAT1 with HDPE and geotextile liners, new Storm Water Return and Ground Water Return pump stations, as well as associated civil, mechanical, electrical and control works.
The procurement model will be a Design and Construction contract utilising AS4300-1995 (with amendments).
The procurement process will be via a public tender process.
Prospective tenderers will need to satisfy the Ministerial Directions for Public Construction Procurement criteria with regards to Occupation Health and Safety Management and Industrial Relations Management. The Local Jobs First policy will also apply to this procurement.
