Provide strategic Environmental Effect Act, EPBC Act and planning scheme amendment advice and overflow services

⁠⁠⁠The Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) aims to deliver ecological benefits to wetlands, native fish, birds and plants at nine sites along the River Murray in northern Victoria. The Project is being delivered collaboratively by a regional partnership between Mallee CMA, North Central CMA, Parks Victoria, Goulburn Murray Water and coordinated by Lower Murray Water.

Expressions of interest are sought from a suitably qualified individual or organisation to support the VMFRP team with the management of its post referral consultations and dealings with other regulatory agencies

VMFRP is seeking expert advisory support through the post referral process including:

Provision of expert and strategic advice to VMFRP in the area of EES, EPBC and planning scheme amendment processes
Review, comment and challenging of scope and work plans for the remaining work to satisfy the post referral outcome process as determined by the Planning Minister and planning scheme amendment processes
Participation in review and development of work generated by project consultants to satisfy the EES, EPBC and planning scheme amendment processes
Participation in discussions and negotiation with the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning (DELWP) and Commonwealth Government relating to the satisfaction of the requirements of these processes.
Identify opportunities to achieve cost and schedule efficiencies in the delivery of the post-approval activities
Provision of experienced Project Officers to undertake overflow works and any un-identified or triggered works that may arise in relation to the VMFRP post referral process.
