Monash University has world leading capabilities in health research underpinned by large scale health datasets which collate hundreds of thousands of data points within clinical trials, medical and population studies.

Monash University has established "Helix" as a dedicated internal capability to provide health data expertise to our researchers and their collaborators in software development, database hosting/maintenance, data linkage and secure collaboration platforms.
This Tender seeks to appoint a selection of pre-approved vendors that can be called upon to extend its capabilities and accelerate outcomes for our research community. For any future potential outsourced activity, Helix will provide technical management in the form of initial consultation with researchers, engage the panel for vendor quoting, technical project oversight and review of project outcomes.
The established panel should allow a quicker turnaround for researchers to engage a vendor for their platform, having been pre-approved to meet the standards relating to information security, clinical research functionality and best practice.

The Panel will provide platforms for researchers to conduct Clinical Trials, Clinical (Quality) Registries and 'Cohort Studies'. Additionally, vendors may also provide technical development expertise to complement the capability within Helix at Monash University.
The panel will include vendors with similar platforms, and will provide competitive quotes for services to our clinical research community.
Vendors will need to have a presence in Australia with platforms based in Australian data centers or cloud providers that can accommodate resilient Australian cloud locations. All information (including backups) must reside within Australian borders
