Taupo has an increasing international reputation for distinctive offerings to visitors and is nationally recognised as a tourism hub. Prior to the COVID-19, Taupo had enjoyed significant growth in visitor numbers and tourism activity. While the tourism sector may now enter a period of rebuilding, Taupo District Council (TDC) is optimistic that local tourism will gradually increase in the short term and be supported by international tourism over time.

TDC are looking for project management services across all the typical disciplines for a project of this nature from a suitably qualified, resourced and experienced project management practice to support the design and delivery of the airport terminal and apron. The scope of works does not include the terminal carpark or the terminal tenants fitout (e.g. airline counter, security, car rentals, food and beverage etc).
