Tender Description

Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for paving and landscaping works around its existing building located at 275 Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe

The works will generally be the paving and landscaping works around its existing building and the Ivanhoe Precinct. The works are generally incorporated in the Plans and Specifications which include but not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of site area as the Centre will be operational from mid-July '20 establish site safety, tree protection, temporary construction fencing, traffic management, survey & setting out.
  • Demolition works for concrete kerbs, brick paving, concrete paving, Asphalt, bollards garden beds, mulch, grass, small trees, flag pole, bike rails & sings
  • Bulk excavation cut and fill, removal of excess material off-site (including contaminated material), importation of suitable fill material on site (if required) and compaction of subgrade to required standards.
  • Waterproofing work to the part of the south wall of the existing Council building, including installation of AG drain & scoria backfilling.
  • Agricultural pipes including flushing points
  • Linear lighting to seating walls.
  • Supplying & installing of different types of concrete paving, concrete kerb and channel and concrete edges.
  • Supplying & installing of different types of Bluestone paving, Asphalt reinstatement & line marking
  • Supplying & installing timber seats, bicycle rails, bin enclosures, Stainless steel Bollards & a new flag pole.
  • Structure soil to tree pits, tree grates, garden beds, terracottem to plants & grass reinstatement
  • Supplying & installing trees, shrubs, tufts, grasses & ground covers.
  • Automatic irrigation system including sprinklers, system to be connected to the irrigation control system being installed by the building contractor for irrigating the landscape areas to the west and north west of the building project.
  • Maintenance all horticultural works up to end of the defect liability period.
  • Liaising with the building contractor to keep the project running efficiently.

The Contractor is to familiarise themselves with the site, access, extent, complexity, and timing of works required and shall consider any additional or incidental works not specifically listed.
