Family and Domestic Violence One Stop Hubs - Mirrabooka

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Communities (Communities) would like to thank all service providers who took part in the recent survey to assess the sector’s capacity to respond to the upcoming procurement process for the Family and Domestic Violence ‘One Stop Hubs’ (Hubs). We really appreciate that you took time out of your already busy workloads to provide us with your feedback. Communities recognises and appreciates that you are all working extremely hard in this ever evolving environment to deliver essential community services.

Communities has considered your feedback and comments, and has adapted the procurement process to reduce the burden on organisations interested in responding to the procurement process, either on their own or as a partnership arrangement. We are pleased to advise the Hubs procurement process for both locations will be via a two-phased approach beginning with an Expression of Interest (EOI). It is expected that in the EOI phase, applicants will be required to respond to reduced criteria, rather than providing a full response. Following the EOI stage, Communities at its discretion may proceed with a shortlisting process and/or enter into a direct negotiation process. Further details will be available in the request document when it is released.

It is anticipated the EOI will be advertised on 19 May 2020 and will close on 26 June 2020.We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the work the sector is doing to provide essential services to keep women and children safe. Operational commencement of the Hubs by November 2020 is important in increasing the capacity of the sector to assist women and children who are experiencing or at risk of family and domestic violence. It is anticipated that the Hubs will also play a role in the social recovery of Western Australia following the impact of COVID-19.
