Request for Proposal: Table grape quality and consumer attitudes
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research, development and marketing program/projects annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Table grape quality and consumer attitudes (TG19003).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation:
- Determine the consumer acceptance and attitudes concerning the quality of table grapes at retail to validate if the 80% benchmark of consumer acceptance has been achieved, following the activities of TG19004.
- Establish how acceptance varies throughout the season (especially early season), location, and by retail channel (e.g. supermarket vs greengrocer).
- Identify opportunities for further refinement of quality and other factors impacting consumers’ attitudes to purchase to support increased domestic demand for Australian table grapes.
- Provide evidence to the table grape industry communication (TG18004), extension/capacity building (TG19000), and maturity standard implementation (TG19004) programs on the impact of product quality on consumer acceptance and demand.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
