Tender Description
Professional services are sought to develop and deliver a region-wide flood model and associated maps for Northland.
The purpose of this project is to map river flood hazard zones across the whole of the Northland region.
The maps will be developed for areas where NRC has not yet completed detailed (priority rivers) catchment modelling and will replace the existing flood susceptible layer. The new maps will be published as part of NRC’s natural hazards maps and included in our regulatory framework for inclusion in Regional and District Plans.
The project will use 2D rain on grid modelling to provide flood extents for a defined range of rain events.
