MAV Procurement, on behalf of Victorian councils (participant councils) is conducting this tender for the Provision of a VMware Partner to administer the Victorian Local Government VMware Enterprise Licence Agreement (VM4323-2020).

In undertaking this function MAV Procurement is obligated to ensure that councils in Victoria are at all times meeting their obligations under the Local Government Act 1989. This requires that Councils:

a) make the decision to purchase goods and services and the determination of the specifications for that procurement
b) are responsible for the probity of the procurement process
c) exercise discretion in and make the decision to accept or reject recommendations arising from the tender

Participant Councils will in no way be bound to purchase products or services from the successful Partner(s) for this contract. This decision remains solely at the discretion of each Council.

Participant Councils also retain the option to purchase only part of the products and services described in these specifications.
