EOI Bendigo Tramsways Expansion

⁠⁠⁠VicTrack is a statutory corporation, established under the Rail Corporations Act 1996, with an independent Board which oversees VicTrack’s performance. Under the Transport Integration Act 2010, VicTrack's role is to support public transport and to support broader government priorities by operating commercially.

VicTrack and in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo and Regional Development Victoria are seeking an expression of interest for the expansion of the Bendigo tramways precinct. Bendigo Tramways is globally recognised as a centre of excellence for heritage tram restoration and modification. It is an integral part of Bendigo’s growing reputation as a tourism and cultural destination. It is also a key part of Bendigo’s heavy manufacturing capacity which has enjoyed a re-emergence in recent years, generating employment and economic activity in the region.

VicTrack, City of Greater Bendigo and Regional Development Victoria seek to gain a more detailed understanding of the supplier market, and the range of solutions that may be available for providing the best range of facilities within the time and cost limitations. Hence, this EOI process may be the first stage of a multi‑stage procurement process.
