Tender Description
Hobsons Bay City Council (“Council”) invites tenders for the construction and commission of the Cricket Practice Nets at Donald McLean Reserve in Spotswood (“Project”). The Project is seeking a contractor to undertake works to construct the cricket practice nets for the purposes of club and community use and associated works.
Overview of Construction Works to be Under- taken by Contractor:
The construction contractor will undertake the following works in accordance with the approved drawings and associated permits:
- Preliminaries including quality, environmental and OHS project plans, preparation of As Constructed information
- Site establishment, site preparation including all traffic/pedestrian management required to a secure the worksite
- Excavate footprint for new cricket nets for total area allowed.
- Allow importation and working of existing site salvaged material and 100mm deep crushed rock base layer, supply and compact for total area allowed.
- Construct a 140mm thick reinforced concrete slab for a total area allowed.
- Stormwater drainage, concrete pits including perimeter subsoil drains with connections to the existing outfall pit
- Tree root barriers (1200mm deep).
- 6m high fence black PVC coated chain mesh with powder coated (black) posts and top and bottom rails. 2 x speciality double access and 1 x pedestrian access gate. Additional 1200mm high rail included at batters end for fixing rubber lining.
- Turf run-up area with irrigation and drainage
- Turf wicket area
- Soft netting curtains.
- Special end support poles for curtain cable.
- Soft netting roof to lanes.
- 6m high outer (side) cable support poles.
- Surfacing works - Artificial grass (Grassman Supershield to full concreted area).
- Installation of power supply for nets (2 No. power points) for bowling machines.
- Allowance for landscape works
- Rubber backing for protection of cricket balls
- Retaining wall construction works for the cricket nets
- Provision of all warranty certificates associated with installation components
- Design construction and commission of drainage for the area in the east of cricket practice nets.
- Furniture supply and installation as specified.
- Concrete footpaths and connections as per the plans
- Facility and surround drainage.
