This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Senior Data Analyst will lead a small data team to provide services related to the collection and storage of data and provision of extracts, reports and visualisations utilising existing and approved Departmental technology platforms. The Data Analyst will serve as a member of the team.
The team works within a broader specialist section of epidemiologists and communicable disease and public health officers. The team is responsible for the administration and support of technology to collect and maintain national diseases and surveillance data and providing extracts and reports to stakeholders.
The data team also works closely with a current IT Program working to replace the technology products comprised within the national system for infectious disease surveillance and outbreak response capability.
The following duties will be required from the Data Analysts:
• Analysis of requests and requirements to facilitate data extraction and reporting from the national system (Oracle 12C Database);
• Engaging with jurisdictions to ensure timely receipt and upload of data;
• Regular liaison with Health and ICT specialists;
• Development of visualisations using Qlik Sense and other products;
• Support the IT Program to ensure that future solutions are fit for purpose, appropriate and represent business requirements.
Working Arrangements:
On site for a maximum of 37.5 hours per week unless otherwise agreed with the Director, taking into account the Department’s relevant policies and approaches to COVID-19 which will require some home-based work.
Individual team members are expected to work standard hours (7.5 hours/per day). However, the team’s function requires activities to occur from 7:00am through until 5:00pm. The team’s roster must provide coverage across these hours.
Security Requirements:
All proposed Specified Personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
Any proposed Specified Personnel must be able to produce to the relevant contract manager from the Department of Health, prior to finalising any contract for services or work order, an AFP National Police Certificate which is not greater than 12 months old. If any disclosable outcomes are mentioned in the certificate, the Department may delay proceeding with the procurement until an assessment can be conducted.
