Tender Description
Tenders are invited by South Waikato District Council (also referred to in this RFT as "the Principal") for Water Main replacement contract.
This Request for Tender (RFT) is a single step process.
Following the evaluation of the tenders, South Waikato District Council may:
- Attend a tendered presentation or a site visit to a tenderer's premises;
- Conduct tender clarification or due diligence in relation to any tender;
- Identify a preferred tenderer or a shortlist of preferred tenderers;
- Enter into negotiations with preferred tenderer(s);
- Award a contract to the preferred tenderer; or
- Conclude the process with awarding any contract.
Information to be submitted by the tenderers is as stated in the General Conditions of Tendering and summarised in the Schedule to Conditions of Tendering.
The scope of this contract involves:
- CCTV inspection.
- Manhole inspections.
- Confirming whether laterals are "live" or dead, by dye testing.
- Confirming the source of all laterals.
- Locating the position of buried manholes.
- Locating major defects requiring immediate repair.
- Reporting the position of manholes that are incorrectly positioned on the Clients asset plans
