The request seeks to engage experienced sellers who have capability to provide Project Management and Project Support Services to Information Management Technology (IMT) within Defence Science and Technology (DST).
DST is the Australian Government's lead agency dedicated to providing science and technology support for the country's defence and security needs. Within DST, the IMT Team, has a central role in the planning, management and support of ICT services across DST with approximately 2300 staff in eight locations throughout Australia.
A growing component of ICT Services in the areas of eResearch, Work Take-On and Next Generation Technologies Fund related initiatives will be delivered via Projects managed out of the IMT Project Management Office. The volume of such Projects into 2020-21 and beyond will require a dedicated Project Manager and Project Support capability. The IMT PMO has assessed that workforce demand projections to support this capability will continue to exceed available supply and will require augmentation.
The IMT PMO requires ICT experienced Project Management and Project Support Officers to supplement the existing workforce capability to deploy to a number of projects simultaneously progressing through a rolling program of architecture artefacts in accordance with the IMT Project Management methodology.
