The Aotearoa NZ Paediatrics and Child Health Division (PCHD) Education Committee seeks a Basic and Advanced Trainee Representative.
There are 2 positions available:
- 1x Paediatrics and Child Health Basic Trainee representative
- 1x Advanced General Paediatrics Trainee representative
The Committee encourages Māori trainees to apply.
New members will have full voting rights and will be involved in most operational matters excluding site accreditation visits.
Key responsibilities of the Committee include:
- implementing the Colleges Education Policy and Strategic Directions in relation to education in the Paediatrics and Child Health Division in Aotearoa New Zealand
- ensuring standardisation in basic and advanced training delivery across all specialty areas
- ensuring all forms of assessment and accreditation are conducted fairly, efficiently and in a transparent manner and in accordance with standards
- advising the College Education Committee (CEC) on education policy and program development for Division Basic and Advanced Training and Chapter Training programs as appropriate
- working collaboratively with Specialty Societies and other key stakeholders on education development and delivery
- monitoring basic and advanced training program requirements and curricula, recommending changes to the CEC
The Committee holds 2 face-to-face meetings and 4 videoconferences per year. The next meeting is a videoconference on 4 May 2020.
Face-to-face meetings are held at the RACP Wellington office. The College will reimburse travel costs of Committee Members.
