Audit Services 2020/2025

⁠⁠⁠The Port Augusta City Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Audit Services 2020-2025. The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

The objective of the Audit Services is to provide independent audit opinions of the:

i. Accounts and annual financial reports; and

ii. Internal financial controls:

of the Council for each financial year covered by the term of the audit appointment. The audit must meet both statutory requirements and Australian audit standards.

In addition, the appointment will include certification of supplementary statements produced from the same accounting records in respect of:

iii. Local Government Workers Compensation Scheme, employees’ remuneration audit;

iv. Roads to Recovery grant audit;

v. Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden Trust financial statements; and

vi. Other grant acquittals as required by the grantor.

Council is seeking to make an appointment for a period of five (5) financial years commencing 1 July 2020 through to 30 June 2025. Should legislation change during the term of this contact, which would require that the South Australian Local Government be audited by another entity, the term of appointment may be reduced; or scope amended to reflect the direction of that or any other relevant legislation.
