Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council is currently seeking nominations by Expression of Interest to fill the Chairperson’s role in Council’s Audit and Risk Committee for a fixed term of two years from appointment.
Eligibility Requirements
Council is seeking members of the public, in the Cairns or Kowanyama region with appropriate legal and/or financial skills and significant experience in one or more of the following fields, ideally in a local government setting.
- Business
- Governance
- Internal auditing
- Accounting
- Management
A current or previous Councillor or Staff member of the Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council is not eligible to be appointed as Audit and Risk Committee Chair.
The Audit and Risk Committee Chair is entitled to fees for preparation and attendance at meetings.
