Tender Description
The planned lighting upgrade will meet the following requirements,
· Amateur level club competition and match practice grade lighting as per AS 2560.2.3 2007. This requires an average lux level of 100 across the Principal Playing Area PPA. The PPA being the rugby league field at 68 metres wide by 112 metres long.
· Meet 'spill light' Australian Standards 4282 for properties surrounding WCRG.
· Lighting system to utilise existing four poles to light the sports field area.
· Use of existing electricity supply including, underground wiring to poles.
· Remove old light fittings in arrays and dispose of.
· New wiring from lighting pole ground level to new lighting arrays.
· Install new LED light fittings and test compliant to Australian Standard 3000 2018 Electrical Installations.
· Ensure all wiring in lighting arrays is protected from damage from birds such as cockatoo's who will chew on any exposed wiring.
· Install a remote control system allowing various users to operate the lighting. Preferably a system able to be accessed and used via a smart phone.
· The remotely controlled lighting system should be capable of providing Cowra Council records of the amount of power usage by each user.
· The lighting control system may include other features such as automatic curfew etc.
· Lighting system maintenance schedule to be provided.
· All work to be undertaken in accordance with AS 2560 Sports Lighting, Australian Standard 3000 2018 Electrical Installations and manufacturer's installation recommendations.
· Provide a compliance report demonstrating compliance of the installed lighting system at WCRG with AS 2560 Sports Lighting Australian Standards. In particular,
- obtrusive light.
- average lux level across the Principal Playing Area PPA.
· It is expected the works will be completed by August 2020.
· It is the responsibility of the contractor to satisfy themselves with the suitability of all materials and work methods used to ensure compliance to the above standards.
