Alexandra Oval Event Space Construction

⁠⁠⁠The Ararat Rural City Council (Council) is tendering for the construction of an events/visitor space at Alexandra Oval in accordance with the tender schedules, drawings and specification.

The project requires the earthworks and construction of approximately 892m² of asphalt, 186m2 of granite sand area, and 219m2 of banked lawn area. The project also includes approximately 70m of stepped concrete walling to double as seating, with 50m of timber seating fixed to the concrete and 31 standalone timber bench seats. Concrete steps with steel handrails and tactile indicators will connect two parallel asphalt paths around the oval. Electrical connection to the grandstand for outdoor power points will service the event space, and stormwater connection to the existing system.

The contractor should allow the project two distinct stages in their costing, which may be undertaken concurrently.

The Contractor shall be responsible for all labour, materials, plant hire, freight, fees and other sundry expenses required to complete the works. Make good to Olver grandstand excluded but will form part of Olver Grandstand building works, which will likely run alongside this project.

Works exclude the supply and planting of specified landscaping including trees, which will be conducted by council.

Council hereby invites submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the Alexandra Oval Event Space Construction.
