Victim Assist Queensland (VAQ) is an administrative arm of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG). Through its work with the broad victim support sector in Queensland, VAQ has identified that one-off projects aimed at building capacity can help bridge gaps and build systems of support for victims of violent crime.
The Victim Services Funding Program: Building Capacity 2020-21 (the Program) aims to build the capacity of service providers to address evidenced service delivery gaps for victims of crime in Queensland.
Under the Program, DJAG is inviting offers which identify and evidence a gap in services for victims of violence and provide one-off project responses to address the identified gap.
The proposed building capacity project (the project), must be fully funded by the Program, with no requirement for additional funding beyond the contract term.
The total pool of investment (non-recurrent) in 2020-21 is $100,000 (GST exclusive).
More than one application may be selected but all successful applicants will share the total pool of $100,000 – no offer will be considered that is greater than the total pool.
Applicants must be incorporated, not-for profit organisations which are experienced in supporting victims of violent crime.
