Tender Description
DSME is seeking expressions of interest from service providers able to provide extra high strength steel plate such as VL D420, VL DW420, VL EW420 and VL EW500 in support of the Jansz-Io Compression Project.
Bidder shall be responsible for the supply of extra high strength steel plate in accordance with DNVGL class and COMPANY requirements.
Steel strength class 420 MPa for structure shall have minimum yield strength
The structure is divided in structural categories according to DNVGL-OS-C101.
The materials shall be supplied in accordance with DNVGL-OS-B101, with additional requirements as specified in Company specifications.
Extra high strength steel (EHS)
VL xy – for steel of normal weldability
VL xWy – for steel of improved weldability, including Z-quality
x = corresponding to impact toughness test temperature, (D=-20oC, E=-40oC)
y = strength group, (420 → fyk = 420-365 MPa, 500 → fyk = 500-440 MPa)
Example: VL D420, VL DW420, VL EW420, VL EW500
