Replacement of South Hedland Aquatic Centre Fencing

⁠⁠⁠The Town of Port Hedland have identified the need to replace the current boundary fence at the South Hedland Aquatic Centre, 2 Leake Street South Hedland, approximately 530m of fencing.

Due to the location of the site, next to the Sk8 Park and near Town Center, it can be easily accessed by unwanted persons. The fence material is easier damaged and cut to enable unauthorized access and ongoing damage to the facility.

The installation of a secure garrison fence, as opposed to a mesh fence, will assist with improving the facility’s security. It will also assist with reducing people entering the facility to have a swim out of hours, which also presents a significant risk for the Town.
