Scope of Work
Design works for the realignment of twin 33KV Powerlines and Optic Fibre over approximately 5km to allow unimpeded mining pit works to proceed through an expanded pit location.
The design will be inclusive of but not limited to the following:
- defining the best powerline & optic fibre route;
- defining the best route and staging options to favour mining pit operations;
- profile surveys;
- geo-tech survey;
- earthing surveys;
- selection of phase and earth conductors;
- designing and type testing the 33KV towers or poles;
- designing the structural supports;
- designing the steel members;
- earthing system;
- step and touch potential designs;
- conductor tension calculations;
- selection of hardware and insulators;
- updating distance protection with new route lengths;
- test and commission the relays to ensure correct function of the zone protections; and
- tuning of the powerline line tap filters where necessary due to the change in powerline distance.
