Tender Description
The Solar Shade Project will be a network of new shading solutions installed over public pathways with a focus on connectivity between the Stadium Precinct and along major pedestrian thoroughfares. These pathways will increase pedestrian and cycle traffic throughout the city centre.
The project will be delivered in partnership with a commercial operator commencing with two trial areas including Central Park and the rear car park at 103 Walker Street, Townsville City before potentially expanding further after 12 months (trial term is taken from the date of installation completion). Depending on the trial stage outcomes, Council will continue to work with successful tenderer/s to role out future stages based on priority areas throughout the city.
