The Shire is delighted to advise that on the 29th January the Federal Government published updates to the current Drought package. A further 52 drought-affected Councils under the Drought Community Program – Extension have been announced and we have been informed that Coorow Shire Council is included as one of the Councils eligible to apply for this funding.
At the recent council meeting it was resolved that council will implement an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to enable community groups and sporting clubs to access this funding. All EOI’s will be assessed against the criteria set out by the grant administrators.
The EOI form has been provided, however for any group who needs assistance, further clarification or guidance please don’t hesitate to contact Ella Budrikis at the Shire. The Shire also has available project and budget templates to assist Community Groups and Sporting clubs through this process.
As per the EOI, groups and sporting clubs will see there is a minimum project amount of $25000. If your project falls below this amount please contact the Shire to discuss your options.
The Shire will be submitting EOI’s for projects through the same process to ensure all projects are given the
same opportunity.
