Contractor for Asphalt Road Re-Surfacing Programme

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking tenders from experienced contractors to appoint up to two contractors (depending on responses) for asphalt re-sheets, major patching of road pavements and large bitumen projects such as roundabouts, car parks and right of ways.

The Initial Contract Term shall be for a maximum initial period of 1 year with the option to extend for further periods of any duration up to a maximum extension period of 3 years at Councils discretion.

Please note: Contract AS4919 will be issued as an Addendum.

This Tender covers the following requirements:

• Council’s proposed 2020/24 residential street program for re-sheets, rehabilitations and Roads to Recovery works (subject to price variation in accordance with for years 2-4 as per Section 199 of VicRoads Standard Specification).

A list of proposed residential streets for each financial year is attached for information and logistical planning purposes.

• Asphalting and rotomilling works at single locations such as roundabouts, car parks and right of ways throughout the Municipality (Schedule of Rates).
• Supply of hot asphalt ex bin (Schedule of Rates).
• Supply and associated laying works for hot & light mixed asphalt – quantities over 100 tonnes (Schedule of Rates).
• Asphalting works at single locations, < 50 tonnes and 50 -100 tonnes (Schedule of Rates)
• Asphalt patching (Schedule of Rates).
• Traffic Management (Schedule of Rates).
• Hire Rates for equipment (Schedule of Rates).
