Dandenong Park Master Plan Implementation Northern Precinct – Stage 3

⁠⁠⁠Dandenong Park is located at the southern end of the Central Dandenong Activity Centre, bounded by Foster Street, Lonsdale Street / Princes Highway and Pultney Street. The North Area Precinct is located between Foster Street and the Dandenong Creek.

The Dandenong Park Regional Leisure Precinct Master Plan (July 2007) was commissioned by the City of Greater Dandenong to establish a vision for the Dandenong Park area. The North Area precinct is the key linking element between Central Dandenong and the Parklands and Dandenong Creek. The masterplan design protects its historical heritage and draws this into a 21st century design, tailored to facilitate community activities and festivals, attract more visitors and support round-the-clock activity that promotes a sense of safety and popularity in the park.

The major construction works that have been undertaken to date in the northern precinct are:

1. The public amenity block (BKK architects)

2. Multi-purpose activity area, picnic and bbq area and informal play

3. Activity line path network

4. The main 3.5m wide shared path with lighting.
