Hay Shire Council invites suitably qualified individuals or companies to submit an Expression of Interest for Economic Development and Tourism Projects.
The position can be filled by either temporary employment or under contract, to launch and complete the "Recalibrate Hay Program".
The successful person or entity will have qualifications and experience that will allow them to assist Hay Shire Council to:
- Organise workshops.
- Organise new events.
- Devise new exhibits for museums and / or facilities.
- Provide business advice to new and existing businesses.
- Have experience in web design, booking platforms, social media, and print media.
- Have experience in creating new tourist attractions.
Salary or fees will be negotiated with the successful applicant, and will be commensurate with experience.
The position is funded through Federal Government's Drought Communities Program, the current funding is available to end of June 2020. Hay Shire Council has applied to Government for the extension of the programme in another two phases, with the last phase ending April 2023.
