South East Water is one of Melbourne’s three state-owned metropolitan water retailers. We provide water, sewerage, trade waste and recycled water services for residents and businesses in Melbourne’s south east, located in the state of Victoria, Australia. We service more than 1.75 million people including more than 743,000 residential water customers and more than 55,000 non-residential water customers. In a region spanning 3,640 square kilometres, last year we delivered 135 billion litres of drinking water, 5.5 billion litres of recycled water and collected 125 billion litres of sewage. South East Water (SEW) wishes to undertake leak detection across our reticulation network to identify assets that contribute to Non-Revenue Water (NRW).This program is essential in identifying leaks for follow up maintenance and repair in an effort to reduce NRW. This specification details the works required to deliver Leak Detection services. The number of km’s to be detected is subject to change throughout the term of the contract, however will aim for approximately 1,200 km each financial year.
