Tender Description
The Department of Education and Training (the Department) seeks to engage an external supplier to validate an online assessment tool, followed by a pilot.
The Assessment for Learning Tool (the Tool) will be used by early childhood teachers and educators in funded kindergarten services to support the learning and development outcomes of children aged two to six years. This is a 2019-20 State budget initiative as part of Ready for School - Kindergarten for Every Three-Year-Old. The Tool will support the intentional teaching practice of early childhood educators and enable them to observe children’s learning, tailor learning strategies accordingly and provide information on individual learning progression. This will improve use of the Early Years Planning Cycle where assessment of children’s learning informs planning to provide a high-quality education program.
