Expressions of interest are being sought from PCHD Fellows to represent the RACP as "children's environmental health advocate" at IPA
The Paediatrics & Child Health Division (PCHD) of the RACP is a member society for the International Pediatric Association (IPA). The PCHD office was approached by IPA to nominate a “children’s environmental health advocate” who will represent the RACP and be responsible for disseminating information from the IPA to Society members and bringing environmental health issues of concern in the PCHD to the attention of the IPA.
The representative will be willing to spend about 1 hour per month serving in this role. The ideal candidate is a paediatric member of the PCHD with an interest in issues of air pollution, water pollution, food contamination, radiation or climate change, and its effect on child health. No specific knowledge is required.
