Tender Description
The Requirement:
WorkSafe Victoria seeks proposals from suitably qualified professional services companies to safely mitigate the hazards posed by the chemical waste materials at 420 Somerville Road, Tottenham, Victoria 3012.
It is likely the waste streams will fall in to seven key areas, which include:
- Dangerous Goods Waste in containers that are relative stable;
- Dangerous Goods Waste in containers that are significantly damaged by fire;
- Sludge and sediment including waste chemicals that have leaked from containers, fire affected by-products and friable asbestos;
- Demolition waste (steel, concrete, timber, etc.);
- Asbestos (Friable);
- Soil/sediment contamination; and
- Groundwater pollution/contaminants.
The successful respondent will be required to execute a well-considered removal and disposal program that will remediate and render harmless the site in question.
