North Curl Curl Skate park

⁠⁠⁠Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community.
Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment.

As part of the 2019/20 Capital Works Program, Council is undertaking the installation of a new skate park at North Curl Curl.
Northern Beaches Council is undertaking the construction of a new skate park at North Curl Curl as a part of a commitment to provide recreational facilities that meet the needs of the community and that comply with Australian Standards. The project is funded for $220,000.00 exclusive of GST and all submissions will need to design and construct to that amount.

The project objectives are to adopt the recommendations of the Target Stakeholder Group and design and construct a new skate park facility at North Curl Curl that includes elements that cater for all skill levels and are progressive in nature. An ideal park would consist of elements that are in keeping with the predominant style of skating by the people of the local area that may include but not limited to street, mini ramps, transitional elements, and flow and is complimentary to the other eight skate parks in the Northern Beaches Council Area.
The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have quotes considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Quotation document is provided.
The Contract term will be determined by the expected commencement of works and expected completion of works.

SITE BRIEFING
A Site briefing will be held on Wednesday 15 January at 11am. The site entry is at the rear of the North Curl Curl Community Centre, on the corner of Griffin Road and Abbott Road, North Curl Curl. Tenderers should ensure they review the quote documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.
