Hornsby Shire Council (HSC) last conducted a survey to measure Council's progress in October 2017. This survey included some measures of community satisfaction, as well as some questions to inform a new Community Strategic Plan (CSP). An extensive community satisfaction survey has not been carried out by HSC for some time.
With the three-year Council term coming to an end in September 2020, this now needs to be done again. Community Satisfaction will play the biggest part in this survey.
Benchmarking of results with other similar councils is essential. Council has recently undertaken extensive community engagement on 17 technical studies related to the Local Strategic Planning Statement.
It is anticipated that these engagements will provide comprehensive feedback to develop a new CSP, and that minimal further consultation will be required.
As a second phase, HSC would like to consult the community on asset management and the community's expectation of service levels.
