SAM Art Collection Relocation - Expression of Interest

⁠⁠⁠In November 2020 the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is relocating from its current premises at 70 Welsford Street to 530-532 Wyndham Street at Victoria Lake. As part of the move the SAM art collection will be relocated to the new storage within the new Museum.

SAM holds the most significant collection of Australian ceramics of any institution in regional Australia. The collection ranges from early colonial objects and vessels, indigenous ceramics to contemporary artists.

The Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking expressions of interest from art specialists with experience in relocating art collections to undertake the relocation of the 3,800 objects from their current locations to the new SAM.

This contract has two components. Expressions of Interest are welcomed for Part A only, Part B only OR for Parts A and B:

• The provision of specialist conservation packing
• The provision of artwork transportation services
