The Rural City of Wangaratta (Council) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor for the renewal of existing stormwater drainage infrastructure, in the area of Cusack & Spearing Street, to remove current flooding issues.

Renewal of existing drainage within the area is required in order to remove current issues surrounding flooding during storm events. Sections of Spearing Street regularly flood, creating a hazard for vehicles and pedestrians.

Existing car parking within Cusack Street area from Clark Street to Green Street is of an informal nature, consisting of a gravel surface with irregularities & trip hazards. This area has been identified as part of the Hospital Precinct Plan and will include construction of a formal carpark.

The Work comprises the construction of large diameter stormwater pipes and pits through Cusack & Spearing Street. It also includes but is not limited to survey, demolition, excavation, removal, construction and associated works as shown in the specification and design drawings. The proposed pipework will connect into One Mile Creek at the western end of Cusack Street.
