Tender Description
Taupo District Council (TDC) wishes to redevelop the existing playspace that is situated in the southern area of the Tongariro Domain. The existing playspace is an extremely popular asset for both the local community and visitors alike and requires an upgrade to bring it up to a standard in line with current design trends and expectations. Ultimately the plan is to design and build a fit for purpose destination play facility which provides local community, regional, national and international visitors with a uniquely Taupo experience, that tells a cultural and historical story of the district. The playspace should offer an excellent family experience that provides different play experiences to the local community and will add to the network of play opportunities throughout the district. The design is expected to cater for a wide range of age groups and draw on local influences of Taupo, taking advantage of being situated so close to the lake and surroundings.
Proposals are sought for suitably qualified organisations to design and build this playspace.
