Tender Description
1.1 The Yarra Ranges Shire Council, (‘the Principal’) invites tenders from suitably experienced parties for the Switchback Road, Chirnside Park – Road Pavement Improvements (‘the Works’), (Melways Ref Map 37G2).
1.2 Switchback Road, Chirnside Park carries significant traffic and requires both rehabilitation and upgrade of existing pavement including two (2) turning lanes. These works are included in Stage 1. However, tenderers are also required to price Stage 2 and Stage 3 works which are options that may be wholly or partially taken up at Council’s discretion (budget permitting).
1.3 A Melbourne Water approved drainage contractor is required for connection to Melbourne Water drainage assets.
1.4 Quantities specified in the Schedule of Prices are estimates only. The Principal does not guarantee the correctness or accuracy of these quantities. Tenderers shall take out their own quantities at the time of tendering. These quantities will form part of the contract.
1.5 Tenderers are advised that the construction start date is as soon as possible following tender award and preferably by 2nd March 2020 and the project must reach Practical Completion by 30 June 2020.
1.6 Council anticipates awarding this contract as soon as possible, however, if Council approval is required, this may occur either late January or February 2020.
1.7 Tender submissions must be received by the TENDER CLOSING TIME or as otherwise changed by addenda.
