Taupo Water and Wastewater Pipe Renewals 2020-21

⁠⁠⁠This contract is for the renewal of water mains and wastewater rising mains in Central Taupo and Bonshaw Park. The contract is divided into three Separable Portions:

SEPARABLE PORTION 1 - Taupo Water Renewals - Year 1: This Separable Portion comprises the renewal of approximately 2,730m of asbestos cement and PVC water mains and rider mains in Taupo and a 1,325m PVC water main in Bonshaw Park which is located about 4km outside of Taupo, with new Polyethylene pipe using either open trench excavation or trenchless installation methods.

SEPARABLE PORTION 2 - Taupo Water Renewals - Year 2: This Separable Portion is located entirely within the Taupo town and comprises the renewal of approximately 6,150m of aging asbestos cement water mains and rider mains with new Polyethylene pipe using either open trench excavation or trenchless installation methods.

SEPARABLE PORTION 3 - Taupo Wastewater Rising Main Renewals: This Separable Portion comprises the replacement of 3 short Asbestos Cement wastewater rising mains in the Central Taupo Area.
